A solid shape is a shape you can hold in your hand, for example a cube.
Every solid shape has corners (vertices), edges (lines) and faces (sides).

A cube has 8 corners, 12 edges and 6 faces.

Write your number in the box.
The numbers filled in show the solution.

For parents
What does this exercise practice?
Recognize and describe solid shapes by their corners, edges and faces.
Common pitfalls
Corners, edges and faces are easily mixed up. Corners are points (vertices), edges are lines, faces are the flat sides.
How to practice at home
Take a box (a cuboid) or a game die and count its corners, edges and faces together with your finger.
