In a number sequence it always goes on in the same step.
First find the step, then you simply count on like that.
Example: 20, 22, 24, ...
Here 2 is added every time, so the next one is 26.
A sequence can also go backwards, then something is subtracted.
Example: 88, 86, 84, ... (2 less every time).
