A table shows numbers. A bar chart shows the same numbers as bars.
For each row, colour in a bar as tall as the number in the table.
Example: The table says Acorn 7.
So you colour the bar for Acorn 7 squares tall.
Example
- Acorn: 7
- Feather: 4
- Mushroom: 9
- Stone: 5
For parents
What does this exercise practice?
Transfer numbers from a table into a bar chart.
Common pitfalls
Children often colour the bar one square too tall or too short. Count the squares carefully and compare with the number in the table.
How to practice at home
Collect things at home and write a small table. Then draw a bar chart for it together.
