Value Table

The numbers are in the top row of the value table.
Doubling means: the number plus itself. Write the double underneath.
Example: The top shows a 4. The double is 4 + 4 = 8, so you write an 8 under the 4.
For halving you split each number into two equal parts and write the half underneath.
The numbers already filled in show the solution.

Example

  • 4
  • 8
  • 12

For parents

What does this exercise practice?

Double values confidently and enter them clearly in a table.

Common pitfalls

Children sometimes place the answer in the wrong column. It helps to trace with a finger from top to bottom.

How to practice at home

Draw a small table at home and fill in the doubles together. That way the pattern becomes visible.
