Writing Numbers

Here you practice writing numbers neatly and correctly on the lines.

Look at the number given and write it yourself.

Example: 24
Say it while you write: twenty-four, so first the 2 (tens), then the 4 (ones).

Tip: take your time and write every digit neatly on the line.
The numbers filled in show the solution.

Example

  • 24
  • 58

For parents

What does this exercise practice?

Write numbers up to 100 confidently and legibly.

Common pitfalls

With two-digit numbers the tens and ones often get swapped. Saying it out loud helps: first the ten, then the one.

How to practice at home

Let your child write short lists, for example the house numbers in your street or the page numbers in a book.
