Find the digits

Here you look for numbers with a certain digit.
Sometimes it is about the ones, sometimes about the tens.

Example: Find all numbers with 4 ones.
14 has 4 ones, 24 has 4 ones and 54 does too.
You circle these numbers.

Always look carefully at the right place: ones or tens.

Example

  • 14,24,54

For parents

What does this exercise practice?

Tell the ones place and the tens place of a number apart with confidence.

Common pitfalls

In 40 the 4 is in the tens place, not in the ones. Watch the place, not just the digit.

How to practice at home

Write down numbers up to 100 and take turns finding numbers with a certain ones or tens digit.
