Ordering numbers means arranging them by size.
You usually start with the smallest number.
Example: 451, 154, 415
The smallest number is 154, then comes 415, then 451.
Sorted from small to big: 154, 415, 451.
Tip: look at the hundreds first. If the hundreds are the same, look at the tens, then the ones.

Common pitfalls
Children often look only at single digits. 415 is smaller than 451, because 1 ten is less than 5 tens. Always compare starting from the highest place value.
