With written addition, you calculate column by column.
The ones are under the ones, the tens under the tens, the hundreds under the hundreds.
Here is how you do it:
1. First add the ones, write the result all the way on the right.
2. Then add the tens and write them in the tens column.
3. Finally add the hundreds.
If the result of a column is bigger than 9, a carry goes into the next column.
