Each row gets two tiles, and in the end all rows have the same number of dots.
First count the dots on each tile and write them down next to it.
Try out pairs: the biggest tile needs a small partner. Do the other tiles then fit together too?
Example
For parents
What does this exercise practice?
Sharing fairly practices adding up and making a target number, and it shows that fair means the same amount.
Common pitfalls
Often the first two tiles are simply put together. The last row is then left with a pair that does not match.
How to practice at home
Share four domino tiles between two plates so both plates have the same number of dots.
